Indirect Resistance

Sometimes, the problem isn’t that fascist officials want you to do something terrible. Sometimes, the problem is that you want to do your job, and they’re sabotaging you:

• EPA officials, prevented from protecting the environment
• VA doctors, prevented from treating their patients
• Park rangers, prevented from maintaining the park

In these cases, a different approach is warranted. The following tactics will allow you to fight back against fascism while still doing your job as best you can.

In normal times, many of these tactics would be protected by the first amendment, and mostly risk free. In these times, we must all be prepared for government retaliation even against protected free expression. Before moving forward, take a deep breath and make sure you’re prepared for that risk.
